Recently got this from Starr Nursery - keeping it in a pot for now, but hope to eventually put it into the ground.

Here's mine, from Greg a couple years ago and in the ground since fall 2016. I'm glad he talked me into buying this one...

Ha, just noticed in the photo that it has an offset. Cool...

Wow! That is a truly beautiful plant, Daniel! :U :D

Sure wish we could grow them here in San Diego.

Maybe I'll give one a try, after seeing your beauty! D))

An update on this one - it's had a rough couple years. In summer of 2018 we had a huge monsoon storm (6" of rain in one afternoon) which eroded the side of my parents house, washed it away, and I had to go find it in the gutter down the street...its recovered now but it took a while! It's pretty severely underpotted but I won't be able to get it back in the ground til fall at the earliest. But hey, it's offsetting in its tiny pot!

Still haven't gotten it out of its pot, but this is the best it's looked in a while!

Looking good! Mine did not like pot life at all. So it is back in the ground and I think slowly starting to perk up:

Yup, same plant. It gets more shade than planned. My O. cochenilifera has taken off and is giving it more shade than it really needs. It is on my list to prune back a bit. It also is close to where the pool filter back wash goes and while it never sits in wet soil it is close enough it can easily have some roots in that area to benefit from it.
