^ I believe that floppy-leaved type may be A. mapisaga variegata, referred to as A. salmiana angustifolia variegata in Europe.

From the Hollygate Cactus Garden in southern England. Sadly this garden is no more.

I've had extra creamy A. murpheyi pups like that, and it usually doesn't end well.

This is also often the case with Yucca hybrids with variegated parents. They always the but might run the little green leaf in the center of the page for survival. This agave is at least 5 years old and produced pups in the same color.
As a precaution I have never separated these Agave from the mother plant.

My Americana Marginata in South London.
She looked great when in a pot for years and pupped like crazy. But she outgrew her space and I planted her two years ago. She's adjusted a bit this year but isn't very happy, not enough light, not angled right... She's lost some of her colour and vigor.
I think I'll leave another year and see, if no improvement, I'll have to replant.
