Hello all,
For how long can I store Aloe seeds? Do they keep their viability for a long time, or should I sow right after collecting them from the pods?
Thanks!

Good to hear from you again Marlon.
Strangely enough I have just asked that question of Silverhill Seeds who are big suppliers of Aloe seeds as they have juts acquired some nice grass Aloe seeds but I wouldn't be able to sow them until next spring here. This was their response:-
We always keep Aloe seeds for 12 months, and I am sure that they are viable for longer than that.

Thank you, do you store the seeds at room temperature, or in the fridge?

All the seeds I collect are kept at room temperature for about six to nine months. For anything longer, I store them in the refrigerator. Generally, I try to germinate all my seeds within six months. But with Agaves, which I keep for years as I have a lot, I usually keep at room temperature (London cool). Yes, I do have 2yr old seeds germinating. Jkw
