Re: New seeds
Maybe it's too early in the morning and I'm not quite awake yet, but I only recognize 4 of those names. Are these all in the genus Aloe or are some of these in other Aloaceae family genera? (Maybe I have some learning to do.)

Re: New seeds
About a month from now Shmuel. First week of March for everything other than winter growers which would be first week of September.

Re: New seeds
By winter growers I mean Pelargoniums, Othonnas etc. Winter growing Aloes is a bit of a misnomer which was recently discussed. Basically they don’t grow in the height of summer but I dont water any Aloes after November or before February. Even then I would only water once or twice in those months.
Sorry if I confused you!

Re: New seeds
Entirely logical and the basic guideline I follow. When it's cold out, and days are short, they're not doing much growing whatever their designation ("winter grower"), so watering more than necessary to keep the soil from turning into dried rock only runs into risk of rot.mickthecactus wrote: Winter growing Aloes is a bit of a misnomer which was recently discussed. Re: New seeds
Is it safe to ship aloe seed during the coldest time of the year? Will below freezing temperatures damage them?

Re: New seeds
Seeds are fine but not plants. After all seedbanks keep seed well below freezing. All
My seeds stay in the fridge until I sow them.
