Flowering Echinopsis huasca

#1

Post by SC FM »

I went out this morning and one of the buds on my Echinopsis huasca is open. Incredibly beautiful intense red color. This is the first time it has bloomed. This past winter was the first time in ground. It is now about a foot tall. What a sight. The Echinocereus dasyacanthus had a few buds but is not open yet. The pink flowering Echinopsis hybrid in ground has tons of pups but no bloom. All three Genera went through winter without a blemish. They saw 8F. They are close to the southwest foundation of my house. IYT was not so cold there and the rocks heart up for some protection during the night. I wish I could share my glee by showing pictures, but My computer is messed up and will not let me import pictures form my camera. I have tried all kinds of things. I will have to call Geeks out at some point I guess.
