Yes!

I love that A. zebra, it is looking really good! I finally got a couple from the Monger at Mysterious Gardens, but they have some growing to do!
That A. salmiana crassispina pup I got from you a few years back is starting to look really good and is also pupping quite a bit, does your plant do that too?

That zebra may bolt this year. I have another larger zebra (the one near the parrasana) that will bolt for sure. That paddle-leafed salmiana of mine produces only occasional pups. There is one large pup now and leaves on mama are about 12" wide! The nearby lighter green upright salmiana has been producing lots of offsets. Let me know if you want one of those. It's a really choice landscape Agave, since it's taller than it is wide.

You can't have too many zebras here in the VOTS, thrives in full sun, hardy down to at least 20°F, and almost impossibly attractive. I have a lot of other stuff gonna bolt this year, too. How does A. zebra × A. wocomahi sound? :8:

zebra x wocomahi sounds awesome!

I got a wocomahi from Keith a while back, it is almost ready to go in the ground, of course it will require another one of the big weberi to bolt.
It is what it is!

BTW, does anyone have or know of other A. spicata in the US? Or is mine the only one? It was chewed to the ground four times before I put it up on a table. It should start offsetting before too long -- maybe this summer.

Beautiful Garden Ron. At least you don't have to walk far to look at some beautiful plants with your leg acting up. They are just out your door. Take care.

Just a couple more quick shots. The A. kerchovei is the parent of the pup shown a couple posts prior. Mama is very impressive at nearly 6' across.

Quite superb Ron (greenwithenvysmiley).

Do you have a decent Agave gypsophila?

I do have one, along with a few offsets, but "decent" might be a stretch. It has both sun and frost damage, and seems ill-equipped to manage our extreme climate.

Thanks for sharing! It's been fun to see them grow up through your pictures over the last 5 or 6 years!

Roughly how cold did your Royal Spine get? I find frost damage hard to believe...mine's been pretty dang cold and hasn't been damaged.

I'm with you on the Royal Spine. I just saw the damage today, and don't know what else it could be... It may have gotten below 30°F a couple times, but that's about it.

Remember when I first posted up a pic of the Cutty Shark? You and Greg thought it might be bovi x colorata. I never expected it to get this large and impressive @ better than 4' tall.

Fantastic. A gallery all of it's own.

Greg stopped by today and believes this unknown Agave is A. wercklei. I always thought it was likely an Hiemiflorae, but was never sure which...
