The green macs are somewhat rare, a few pop up now and then in seedling flats. I wonder how the owner of that fine specimen keeps the pups under control, agaves will usually pup way more than usual when confined to a pot.
Do you have any macroacantha in your collection Brooks?

They caught my eye, too. I've got a colony here of a similar clone. I found mine at a nursery long ago, and it did not offset for about three years. It now offsets regularly, but slowly.

"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

Gee.S, that is a great looking A. macroacantha colony you got there! A. macroacantha is what started the agave bug for me.
