Here are some of my Agaves looking down at them . I love looking down at the symmetry. All my Agaves put on a lot more growth. I hope my Victoriae-reginae's stop before they collide.

Agave Gregg. I bought the Agave parryi years ago as Agave parryi huhuchuensis??? The original plant was bought some 30 years ago, so I forget the source. You are the expert. I respect your knowledge and experience. What makes you think it is truncata?
Thanks abboean

The Agave parryi complex is, well, complex with the varieties not always distinct and frequently morphing from one to another although at the extremes, the varieties appear to be distinct. A. parryi var. truncata is generally regarded as having more truncate leaves, shorter and straighter across at the apex while var. huachucensis tends to have leaves that have a longer, more drawn out apex.

Thanks, Gregg, you sure seem to show the difference. Mine definitely has shorter wider leaves more reminiscent of a truncata than huachuensis. Thanks.
