If there's two things I would collect for my Arizona garden? Agave's and boulders.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.

That would be Agave avellanidens. There were a few out of 100 that had red marginals on the new leaves. It will outgrow the nursery bench before too much longer.

My example of A. atrovirens in 30g tub today. If I could move it into more light it would be happier but it's in a good spot when the real sunshine arrives. I had 1 other like this one left, it was boxed up and sent to Texas.

This matches Paul's photos of atrovirens taken in habitat pretty good.

Its really warm already, I am going to start giving it some juice to see if I can speed it up.

Had a little rain during the week. It was enough to soak the ground good. Nothing better on a Saturday afternoon than a bowl of the wife's salsa. Mmmm!
