Cereus hankianus

#1

Post by Stan »

Originally,a cutting from Geoff Stein's yard he kindly sent me in 2013 or 2014?. I rooted it in ground for a year ( where it bloomed)..then we had home improvements done and this cacti had to be dug up and potted. Today,I potted it up and admired the new blue growth getting bluer as it grows. I love blue cacti and should add more to what I do have..
Just potted up and watered.

I like the look of the "weed" with the cactus. Why I left it. Nice white foliage and yellow blooms. Gives it a natural look,I think.

Another growing year starting. Its different in that its a slender Cereus compared to the many types seems like C.repandus or C.hildmmannianus (btw It's grown from 4 boards tall to nine since the fall!)
