very hard name to pronounce... great plant... not a great landscape plant (too dinky and disappears, literally, into the landscaping). Smallest of the Ariocarpi, but large colonies can be sizable (made entirely of offsets of a single plant). Flowers brilliant pink-purple.
RO is reverse osmosis, which has total dissolved solids usually under 12 parts per million and pH is usually in ideal range similar to rain water.
It's one thing to acidify your water, but the optimal pH range is 6.2 to 6.4 if you're using chelated calcium CaliMagic. If you're not using CaliMagic for your calcium source, your tap water pH will need to be adjusted to 5.8 to 6.0 so calcium can be absorbed. Un-chelated calcium is only available at pH 5.8 and it is a pivotal immobile micronutrient. I like CaliMagic very much because it is chelated to iron to achieve the absorption range of pH 6.0 to 7.0.
