Another one to Gophers..

#1

Post by Stan »

This was a Phoenix rupicola..still is I think. It suddenly declined,So I went to dig it up..and no roots but one tiny white stub. I could see the Gopher hill next to it. Why you don't see me posting of buying palms. It seems to me only King palms,Trachies, and Howea are distasteful. ALL other palms are G-food.
The cats catch them every now and then..but I have huge empty lot next to the humble home. So,replacements are always coming at my yard. ::x

This has happened to me so often now, with some disastrous losses of very rare plants that I HAVE to plant EVERYTHING in a basket. Sigh. HATE gophers!!
