Re: Brahea aculeata
Mexican species found primarily in deserts and scrubby mountains. Grows just over 25' tall. Cold hardy down to about 22F . Very drought tolerant once established. Some forms have bluish leaves and look like dwarf Brahea armatas. Very large green fruits (turning black as fully ripening). Tends to retain leaf bases on trunk. Slow growing.
