Arenga caudata

#1

Post by Geoff »

Southeast Asian species (from many countries) that has a modicum of cold hardiness (can be grown in many climes along the coast of California). Smaller suckering plant with a variety of leaf forms (from nearly linear and 1" wide to nearly fishtail). Makes a good potted plant, if can be kept on rain water, protected from winds and given very bright light. Grows up to only about 6' tall and about as wide. Very thin stems.
