monotypic monoecious solitary crownshafted pinnate palm from Sri Lanka, where it is critically endangered. It is a beautiful species, only growing up to 20' tall but having colorful leaves (new) arching and stiff with short petioles (also colorful- peach colored). It is quite tropical in its needs it appears.
