The above Dasylirion I previously posted was most likely Leiophyllum. Which grows larger than Texanum. The spines also point towards the plant on Leiophyllum vs. away on Texanum. Note this reference page from Agaves, Yuccas, and their kin: Seven Genera of the Southwest by Jon L. Hawker.
