Can you tell me what type of mix you use for them and how deep the top dressing is? When I planted mine, I believe I used a mix of 6 parts organic soil 40%, 3 parts zeolite granules 20%, 3 parts DE granules 20%, 2 parts DG 13%,1 part oyster shells 7%. It's very fluffy and fast draining but also stays moist a long time because the DE granules hold water like clay.

All out my stuff is outdoors, I just use local dirt. I don't really like top dressing at all, but do find it helpful for keeping shallow-rooted stapeliads upright.

You and me both. Let's hope they survive winter.
