It's a privilege to adopt your beautiful plants! Anytime you need to make some space, let me know and I'll try to "help you out" ;) You are the only source (nurseries, seed vendors included) I found that offered several hard-to-find species of agaves. Thanks again!

Here is a picture of my cat Hannan lamenting that he can't chew on these plump yet barbed leaves.

Everyone wants pics of what I have so here is a good portion of them. If I don't get all of them tonight be patient I'll get them up. Unless you come over and pick them up yourself, 2 is the minimum I will ship. It just takes too much effort to ship 1 plant, it's more work than one would think. I would prefer a text message rather than a PM, it's easier and quicker. 951-five two two - four eight zero seven

2 things I want to mention, we have had a lot of rain in the last few weeks therefore the weeds have took hold, I ship bare root and clean so you will get no weeds, and this is Phoenix and it has been darned hot so some of these guys may be a little crispy around the edges, they will grow a nice new crown of leaves before you know it.

A. avellanidens Folks these are super nice, not full sun tolerant here in Phoenix but likely in Cali or other mild climates, the ASDM in Tucson has them in full sun so maybe they will acclimate in time or with the help of a shady bush. The large 5 gallon plants are the same age as the 1 gallon ones.

Thanks KLC for another great box of plants. We're having fall-like weather, great for shipping and potting. Everything arrived looking ready to grow.

There was a whole family in that nickelsiae pot. Eeeee I can't wait until I have a whole colony of them. Everything is potted up, including my A. parryi truncata that the gopher chewed up. How funny that you sent a pup. You can't have too many parryi. Apparently they're delicious.

Wherever I end up putting my A. macroacantha, it's going to be spikey as hell. One new, two from a previous box. I also have a really long leaved one that should look cool when it fills out.

The long leafed macs only look funky when small. When they fill out and get black spines they look awesome too. I put one of the slender leafed ones out in the front near the sidewalk a couple years ago in total full Phoenix sunshine, it gets a splash of water usually once a week and is a spectacular specimen now. They have proven to be tough little agaves. The colonies they form will provide endless trading material, or if one prefers the solitary look just pull them up as they surface.

Thank you for the kind words.

I know this is an old thread, but I just recently joined this forum, and would like to add a few young plants to my collection. Do you have any plants available for purchase? I think I saw a reference to your sale on Facebook.

This thread is up to date. I have lots of agaves. Anything pictured in posts 27,28,29,30 and 31 is still available. Some are down to single plants though. What are you interested in? And your location?

Looking for young macroacantha and nickelsiae plants for hot steamy Atlanta. I've had pretty good luck at starting young plants on my screened south facing porch and gradually acclimating them to full sun. My potting medium is very porous and after growing under my care for the first season, I slowly expose them to the back yard where they receive direct morning sun and light afternoon shade. With
Irma passing through, all plants are weathering the storm on the porch.when temps drop in November, older plants go to my attached garage and others to an indoor green house. This has worked for desmettiana, vilmoriniana, a. Aculeata, densiflorim. Adenium, pachypodium, Operculicarya, and beaucarnea.

Nice growing Azuleja, how's the ferox coming along? I need to unpot and remove the pups growing out of the drain holes on mine, will have to destroy a 3g pot in the process (Grrrr!).

The ferox has roots showing at the bottom of the pot, and I just noticed today that it's already making a pup. You can just see it in the photo.

The second photo is a no ID plant. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears or maybe it's an unidentifiable cross. It has stout terminal spines and thick chunky leaves that are smooth at the base and slightly asperous at the tip. Right now it has a carnivorous plant look going on, which I like.

Last photo is ovatifolia. Homely isn't it?

I'd like to reserve two of those 1 gal A. sobria, if that's OK. Add one of those vizcainoensis as well. Beauties, and great deals! I'd like to wait about a week, due to the coldest temps we have on tap now this winter so far. I've crammed everything inside all the space I have available, but after getting through this next week, I think it will be OK again.
