2017 Huntington ISI plants

#1

Post by Viegener »

Just found this tonight!

Among other things Aloe 'Corduroy' from Karen Zimmerman, a freakish Mammillaria, Agave sobria subsp. frailensis, Agave utahensis var. nevadensis, several beautiful Haworthias, and an otherworldly-looking Decarya madagascariensis, a plant I've never seen before.

:frown:

No bulbs (again), ho-hum agaves, only wimpy aloes. Don't mind me, I'll just go pout in the corner.

I'd have to agree it's not their most dazzling year...

I stumbled on this discussion about the same thing regarding last year's list. It includes a theory about the tc lab. I do agree a lot of the offerings are already available elsewhere. That's a really cool little sempervivum. I know because I have it already. Got a whole pot full at a local nursery. It's tiiiny. If I ordered it from HBG and got just one I'd be sad.

Eta: I agree the prices are so fair and the people are wonderful.
