Dyckia brevifolia var. Ribeiro de Cocho

Does anyone have any information about this plants origin etc. It was completely bright yellow when I bought it, unlike yellow glow which has only yellow in a center zone. At the place I also bought a Dychia platyphylla that had a yellow central zone. Both have lost the yellow coloration. I grow them unfed, as most color is usually due to low nutrition, stress and full sun exposure. Both are new to me. I have been growing bromeliads for over 50 years. Thanks Jimeze
