Tillandsia capitata 'mauve'

Now I now what color mauve is. Cant find much info on it.

It's a nice name, but that's not mauve to my eye. Not purple enough. ::wink::

Huh,not purplish at all. Prince would have not liked it. The only info was- keep it in light shade to get that color. In full sun,it goes back to typical Tillandsia grey. Since the photo its been moved to light shade. IF it keeps that color and pups... great deal. If not.. :roll:

More info gleamed...its actually T.capitata 'peach' And yes,it does keep that color year round. Clumps too, of plants with stems of 30cm. Still,light shade is best. Imagine that,a Tillandsia with color that does NOT want hours of direct sun.
btw- the label on it said "mauve".
