My wife photographed this plant today, thinking I would immediately know what it was... of course I have no clue. Anybody able to enlighten me?

It is growing along a walkway on the ASU campus in Tempe, gets mostly shade.

Appears to be a Hymenocallis of some sort.

There are several smallish west Mexican species that you might look for. Can't handle winter lows outdoors in AZ, but are probably OK as pot plants. Many have wonderful scented flowers.
