Someone gave me this. I ignored it in a pot for a long time. Then I wanted it off my patio so I planted it. Under something else. I forgot it for years. I threw it back in a pot. I ignored it more. Then I doused it in gasoline and set fire to it.* It did not care. I finally found out what it was: I present to you, super tough drought tolerant sun-or-shade plant with awesome japanimation name - Silver Squill. the underneath of the leaves is even purple.

I had the dwarf form for a while and really liked it (back when I had more time to fuss over tiny things). Unfortunately they seem to have no tolerance for frost.

Had it for years- then 1990's 24f killed off the pot of it. Tried it later and again, looked good until we had a wet winter and snails just devoured it in winter to spring. Some years, even heavy baiting is not the cure. Not with a lot full of grasses and shrubs and dead branches and such nextdoor. If i see it again,I'm going to give it a try.
I think Epiphyte has it growing on a tree. Not sure.
