White foliage you can see from blocks away. Heavy canopy on a fat trunk, but not a tall tree. This is the second one I've seen in town and I'm sure get very little water. People here think 20% cut back in water means 100%.

Its a Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, E.cinerea. Why it took me so long is because not many are this big. I'm used to the willowy street tree's.

Oh. I thought it was a Euc Alaylee. ::wink::

We have one in our garden. My mom planted it as a seedling some 30 years ago. I'm standing on top of an 8' high tool shed with tripod and camera level to photograph it. Mom used to make floral arrangements, and she would start with small branches from this tree placed in a vase, and build it from there.

Today, I can see blue sky directly above for the first time in about a week. Further off, there's the wall of smoke from the fires still burning.

Hmm,The others might be a cultivar- you can see they are stockier and denser. Yours Spine,is more like I thought they looked like.

I have to confess that this wasn't the best year for that tree, inasmuch as it received minimal watering, less than previous years. So, it might be looking a bit sparse. This has been a brutal year, and there's been a lot on my mind and a lot to deal with. Somehow, in spite of all that, I have still kept my plants alive, made some minimal advancements in that area here and there, and kept everything else around from just flat out dying.
