Thats it. From a distance the fine foliage looks solid. Maybe I've seen them at the Dry Garden for sale in small pots and never knew when they grew they become that distinctive.

one of my favorite genera... don't know why they are not planted more often. Several different species, all look great... and VERY fuzzy and soft to touch.
