Saw these two a few weeks ago while bookshopping and was astonished at the size and health of these. My pics are not nearly as good, so I'll save myself the time digging through my album. Surely they out age the mall.

These are part of a large number of majestic trees in this area. The largest Wine Palms in the state,and for sure the largest Ficus macrophylla in nor cal is also near here. They go back to the old Niles Nursery started around 1870.

Yes..there's a huge Brazilian around here too. You remind me I should take a pic. Only problem is- its on the other side of a 10' wall between the home and a Supermarket parking lot.

A reminder of how history is buried under our very noses. Very nice that developers saw fit to save them and thus integrate some history within all the new that sprawled all around.
