This native to Australia and Taz exist with the blue gums there..and here in the eastbay. I see these in bands that run in the hills or elevated areas of Hayward and Castro Valley. You see them off the 580 going to Pleasanton. I understand they prefer to be in the 5-7 miles from the coast but I'm at least 25 miles from the beach. I can only vouch for what I see..and these every year say spring in Hayward.
