Climate,It's all relative...

I was watching those "moving to" HGTV shows. This one on Hawaii. What stood out is the movers were from San Diego and seemed like they were obligated to bash the climate (S.D.) rated top ten in the world. They said that San Diego ocean waters is so cold ...then of course compared to Hawaii's clear coral waters. Then,in Hawaii they marveled at how much greener it is in Hawaii.
The kicker? As they drove around "So many palms. San Diego has palms but not the variety like here". See,that's what got me to post, because they they weren't gardeners type let alone specialize in palms.
Hawaii is a great climate..tropical but without the stifling 90f heat of land tropics. But you know,72f in winter and 50f lows as in San Diego is great winter weather too. Its all relative.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.
