Welcome!
Welcome to the Caudiciform group. The aim here is to keep it as flexible as possible without treading on anyone else toes. We are in are in a rather unique position, and don't have the usual limitations of most other parts of the forum. We intend to stretch the caudex/fat plants as far as we can, and with your help we will be able to compile an admirable collection of trees and plants for our wider audience. Dig deep into your photo archives, as I have been doing, and start posting. Jkw

Re: Welcome!
Thanks Met. There is label there, and I was hoping I will be able to confirm what the nursery called it, but try as I could, I cannot not make out the label. Based on my limited experience, the odd shape, the shiny surface and the the spiky top, I will guess Pachypodium horombense. Bear in mind that these photos were taken a very long time ago. Re: Welcome!
Melt, I am cheating here. I am having a second guess as I think it looks more like P densiflorum. JkwMelt in the Sun wrote:Thanks for organizing this Winston! What's the pachypodium in the 3rd photo?

Re: Welcome!
I like the Uncarina. I'm torn between making my potted Uncarina (decarya?) a standard or allow it to freely branch. The one on Wiki in the Greenhouse? Makes a great case for one trunk!

Re: Welcome!
Stan, have a look at this one growing in the LA Arboretum some years ago. Those I grow are always in pots, but they do reasonably well. JkwStan wrote:I like the Uncarina. Re: Welcome!
Thanks Az. It is very exciting to be back doing some of the things that I used to do years ago. And with the enthusiastic support that is being offered, I am very pleased. JkwAzuleja wrote:Just wanted to say kudos to you guys creating so many entries in the caudiciforms gallery. Great work!

Re: Welcome!
I have no idea what the above post is but suspect it has nothing to do with caudiciforms.

Re: Welcome!
So do I. I was quite surprised to see it. Maybe hoped for a few Pachypodium or Uncarina photos. Jkwmickthecactus wrote:I have no idea what the above post is but suspect it has nothing to do with caudiciforms.
