I have this plant and it is super easy... at least to keep alive (has fairly good cold tolerance down to at least the high 20s)... likes LOTS of water (if not too cold), but it is super slow growing (mine is hardly any larger in the 5 years I've had it). Cool spines. Plant in ground below is in Fairchild gardens, Florida and it's massive... but can't really appreciate the caudex. Plant itself is about 10' across (not the caudex part).
