This Deuterocohnia longipetala sure took on a reddish hue, but it continues to grow. Also grew two new branches to the flower stalk, which was unfortunately clipped by the nursery (see the top two photos)

All told, they seem fairly happy underneath that palm tree, so I'll keep throwing them in the ground as I find more. They are quite easy to take care of and so far have had no problems with either heat or cold or excessive rain this past winter. I need more plants like this, that I can neglect without consequence when I am too busy pampering the agave and bamboo.

Looks great.
I can only speak for my own...but they are slow to fill in.
Whats the bottom one? That needs a little better highlighting to show it off. Maybe rocks or gravel. I like that one especially. I can see that in a pile of lava rock or granite boulders.
