How to post a gif image?

I found a photo on the net of a tree Aloe...but cant get it to post.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.

GIF is an allowed attachment upload.

When I use the the usual method... a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle show to the right. When I send post..no photo.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.

Is the file too big? Forum resizes JPG's, but probably not GIFs.

That's the other thing..its not a gif thats animated. Just a photo of old,ancient tree Aloes. It's only 794 KB.
I had no problem downloading it but it must have code that stops it at one copy. I know I once downloaded a photo of classmates.com...and noticed weeks later,it was gone with just an icon of Edge.com- the browser.

open in photoshop or other image editing software and save as jpeg. Too obvious I know so forgive me for stating the this.

Thanks! I'm more of an expert of 8 tracks and Beta tape. With a minor in DBX cassettes.
What Aloe is this?
