This is another excellent ground cover ice plant for S California. It stays dense and low, with beautiful foliage and nice flowers. There's a variety of regular Cephalophyllum frutescens growing not far away and it's a gangly, sprawling plant with none of the charm of this one.


There's not much information on this or really the majority of Aizoaceae from South Africa—I have no idea why, since this group of plants is really useful. I've seen this same plant also called Jordaaniella dubia
