Dypsis pembana

#1

Post by Stan »

Anybody know of Dypsis pembana? I think I have that and it sailed through last winter as seedlings in a 2 gallon pot. I just planted it out and it filled that pot with roots. I can post a photo tomorrow. Some photos of them make them look very much like a King Palm, brown trunk. Other photos show a beautiful white trunk or crownshaft. Like totally different palms. I gave it a primo spot and hope to see it do well. I had Bottle palms live through their 3nd winter outdoors in a pot. Now in a 15 gallon pot. Photos for that when it greens up in a week or two.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.
