Today a relaxing little 8-mile hike along an actual hiking trail, and not too far from home. No ruins, no rock art, no agaves today, just some interesting cactus and lots of flowers, as much of Arizona heads toward a super-bloom.

Hiked up an old road east of SR 87, about five miles south of Sunflower on this brisk day. Most of the poppies along here have already popped, but plenty of other wildflowers about, as well as Agave chrysantha, Agave toumeyana, and a couple of previously unknown crested Saguaros. These Saguaros are extremely challenging to reach, and after making it to one, realized I did not have enough in the tank to reach the second, so that will have to wait for another day.

Oncosiphon piluliferum (Stinknet) -- going to be tough to get this invasive weed back in the bag.
