great easy spineless cactus with bright pink-purple flowers in winter. Probably the easiest of the Ariocarpi. However, the tastiest to rabbits, too (all mine eaten, right out of their pots on raised surfaces... rabbits wanted them badly!)

Yes, that’s the downside to posting pictures. I think this park deserves a lot more attention than it gets, but that will probably have a lot of downsides. The self check in station had about 7 names total for the month of April. I think I was the first person in a while to drive down the road where these were located, and actually didn’t even know they were there. I’m sure they are all over the park.
