2024 Major Landscape Installs

#1

Post by Fairview »

2023 was all about converting to xeric landscaping. This year it's about some anchor plants and hardscape. Counted six heads on the rostrata and the thompsons are a double and a triple. No, I did not plant the rostrata!! It was worth every cent to have their crew do it. I will be planting the thompsons however.

Those are gorgeous and must’ve cost you a pretty penny! Considering how slowly mine is growing I keep thinking about buying one of the big guys and saving myself a couple of decades of growth.

@Gafoto After turning 64, flatlining twice in one day and a double bypass that thought became a reality. I have some small ones also planted around it. Going to conduct a $275 rostrata experiment. Have a small 2 footer in a container. Going to unceremoniously Sawzall it at the base. "Supposed" to come back as a multitrunk. Sawzall the top off and make it a topcut and stick it beside the big one as a multitrunk. Then I'm gonna plant the remaining trunk and it's supposed to sprout also.

Saw all this butchery on YouTube so I know it's true.
