These are pups I acquired as A. sobria ssp. sobria. As you can see, the third (tagged A. sobria 'Santa Rosalía') is quite distinct from the first two.

Have been good plants for me. Hoping for some seed as they have been stingy offsetters... I know there is one pup on plant #1.

Have two left.

The 'Pseudogigantensis' from Greg and 'Santa Rosalia' from KLC... The former is behaving much like plant #1 in the post above - not surprising given that it is planted next to it with just sobria ssp. frailensis next to it, while the SR is in my back yard and doing a different but similar to #2 kind of development and looking really good. Will get a pick and post at some point. Also no pups on those...

Given how bullet proof these have been I will definitely hit you up for some seed if I get none from my flowering plants...

The various forms of Sobria seem to have slowly disappeared from the market the last few years, atleast online. KLC and Greg Starr need to flood the market again.

Update...
They are appear to be developing somewhat distinctly different.

418CDCED-8ACF-43ED-8A6C-40A43FD6B972_1_105_c.jpeg (264.91 KiB) Viewed 18 times
The foreground is what I got many years ago from KLC as Agave sobria, but what had been sold to him as seeds of Agave gigantensis. It definitely is not gigantensis, no doubt about that, but compared to the plant in the back which I got as straight up no doubt about it Agave sobria the inflorescence appears to be developing somewhat differently.

Here is the definite sobria in more detail:
B2D7C2B0-7264-4F2A-BAE3-F9EB1F586CE0_1_105_c.jpeg

E4727975-BC85-4681-982B-2B027721628A_1_105_c.jpeg (150.06 KiB) Viewed 18 times
And here is a closer up shot of the other one:
D0DAAF98-8FE1-469A-90D7-22E935714AE7_1_105_c.jpeg
D0DAAF98-8FE1-469A-90D7-22E935714AE7_1_105_c.jpeg (100.37 KiB) Viewed 18 times
Now their is development difference of about 1-2 weeks between the two inflorescences, but to me there is a distinct difference in number of flowers and how the flowers are held on the panicle between the two Agaves that I do not think is due solely due to that lag in development, I guess we will see in a few weeks.

Similar spacing between branches, similar branch length, similar branch angles, similar inflorescence timing, similar inflorescence height. A lot of sobrias do that 90° inflorescence angle thing too, so there is quite a bit of natural variability in their development, a lot more than I see here.
Agave
