I have no idea if I'm in the right forum here, but I though I'd take a stab at Apocynaceae, based on the similarity of this flower to ones I've seen on a Stapelia.
My friend got this potted plant from some dude at a swap meet and it recently produced this flower. Anybody know what it is? Thanks.

Thanks, Mick! I've passed along the ID to my friend. He is not into taxonomy, but has an incredible green thumb.
