ID Bursera

#1

Post by Bonhes »

I acquired seed of an unnamed species or Brusera about 15 years ago. I’ve since tried to ID it, and leaves look like it’s probably simplicifolia. However I’m not sure because the bark is a very dark ash gray, almost black. Except where pealing it’s a medium to dark rusty orange. Extremely slow growing.

That looks like Bursera schlechtendalii. Pretty fast growing and flowers readily if kept hot enough.
