A few shots from around Gran Canaria.
Just been for a week away in Gran Canaria, one of the larger Canary Islands and administrative hub. Scenery is spectacular, lovely climate (but a bit windy), and one of the best cactus/succulent gardens I have seen.
This was the view from one of the walks I went on to one of the high spots. You can see Mnt Teide on Tenerife, one of the other islands, in the distance.
There are more wild grooves of Phoenix canariensis on Gran Canaria than the other islands

A massive problem is the feral populations of opuntia and Agave americana which are burgeoning their way across the islands, out-competing the native flora and becoming a huge ecological nightmare.

Not only americana. Look what I came across in the south of Gran Canaria. The native Euphorbia canariensis in the background.

Which garden was it? The one in Las Palmas? I must pay a visit next time I am around.

It was a place called 'Cactualdea' in Aldea de San Nicolás, right on the west corner.

If you are over in that side you can't actually miss it as there is a huge plastic cactus in the road.

fwiw:A local channel just yesterday did a remote live shot from the Canaries. The beach was 66f temperature as the local anchors did the wish I was there chit chat. I think it was like 48 F here in the late morning.

Re: A few shots from around Gran Canaria.
That doesn't actually sound very warm for a Canary Island, although there is a bit of difference between the various islands and the locations - some are very high.
For example Mnt Teide, on Tenerife, is 3715 metres high. That's metres, not feet.
My best comparison was one day down on the beach near my hotel it was 25C day time, 18C at night. Back home on that day it was 2C day time, -4C at night.
