Some shots of a puya thicket in this hillside park in San Francisco. Please ID if you know, your best guess is welcome. 🤙

Possibly Puya spathacea. Any pics or memories of old inflorescences? Fascicularia will be a dried up thing nestled in the crown, puya a 2.5 ft panicle.

Flowers always help. The colony was impenetrable, but I think I saw what looked more like the dried inflorescences of fascicularia in there. No past memories of tall stalks in bloom or dessicated.

No blushing visible on the leaves, but these are under canopy. Also, I'm colorblind and often not perceptive to more subtle changes in hue.

Fascicularia genus seems correct and f. bicolor ssp bicolor is a good guess.
Thanks Paul 🤙
