Agaveville Issues

Post by Gee.S »

We're having some serious issues on the server level. Trying to get it resolved, but it has been difficult. Sorry, I'm doing my best, please be patient.

Update: I am now so dissatisfied with my hosting company of 14 years that I am sending the site to another host. Transfer time could be 3-5 days. Hopefully, this will resolve the issues.

Fingers crossed. Migration of services/db/data can be pain in the neck.

Yeah, I hope it all flies, tho we're almost certain to lose a day or two's worth of posts in the process.

This is proving problematic. Folks I contacted seem unable to swing the move. Sigh...

Forum is back up. Probably has the same performance issues, but at least it's back up and running. Wear me out...

Error messages have reduced dramatically, tho I still see one now and again, but the site is still very sluggish here at times. I'm beginning to think we're being throttled.

Thanks for the heads-up. And doubtful I know, but it could be a cache thing. I suggest clearing your cache, just for grins.

I have now for the second time, attempted to change hosts. The first effort was unsuccessful, but this seems to be happening. So far so good, tho a handful of recent posts may have been lost in the process. Sorry about that, but if the forum starts working properly again, that will prove a small price. Thanks for your continued patience. Fingers crossed, we may finally see a light at the end of this tunnel.

Thumbs up is back and I was able to connect to A ville with no hesitation or warnings about 404 and all that. Good as new.
