Fairly common in cultivation, but not terribly ornamental.. tends to flop over if not leaning on something. Three-sided columnar/sprawling species with wide and narrow segments (seems wider segments corresponding to periods of warmth and rapid growth, while 'stricture points' indicative of cooler periods of growth (spring, fall and winter). Cold tolerance down to at least 25F... perhaps more. South African species (and Mozambique)
