Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

I received a few Quaqua mammillaris seeds which I sowed early July. Generally Stapeliad seeds germinate in as little as 2 days with most up in around 7-10 days. 3 germinated but one didn’t develop and faded away so I am left with 2 healthy seedlings.

But then this morning, by the label, another has germinated, very unusual. Whether it will develop at this time of the year remains to be seen.
