You've seen the news about the storm down south, here it was a record 88f at SFO and 89f in Oakland. Today is to be muggy with remnant storm clouds. August has been a gardening winner so far in the bay area.
I hear Texas has been record hot also.

Thanks for the great pictures.

This tropical storm heading towards Texas appears to be pulling our forecasted rain away. What was once a 45% chance tomorrow for Central Texas, is now 15%. We will see what the forecast becomes once it makes landfall.

It's been upper 80's with 50% humidity. Muggy by bay area standards. Hot by bay area standards too come to think of it. Great for the plants. I've been fertilizing the non c&s plants and you can see that whole deep green flush come over them.

Yeah, the far outer bands of Tropical Storm Harold brought literally a few minutes of rain to our area. Long enough to evaporate and create humidity.

Perfect time for a vacation Stan.

I was listening to some Beach Boys on Beatle Sunday here at home. Not sure if the Salton Sea qualifies. It might.
Said to get to 80F here. A good day to get warm.

Oakland had a record high of 90f yesterday. HAX was at 92f...probably a record. My C&S are earning their pay as I stretch the watering in the dog days of summer.

Although it’s meteorological autumn tomorrow or Thursday might be the hottest day of the year. Might be 33c.

The year of strange weather is continuing over here - record stretch of days with temperatures over 30oC in September followed by possible ground frosts (possibly down to 1oC) in the Highlands of Scotland on Wednesday! Sublime to ridiculous!
