Aloe rebmannii

smallish to moderate suckering, heavily spotted Madagascan aloe that is pretty rare in cultivation. Red flowers (never seen myself).

Geoff, did you root the rebmanii cutting yet? I noticed mine is still loose in the pot and your post reminded me I need to check it and bring it inside where it's warmer.

Eta: I checked it and it does have some roots, just not enough to sit firmly. It's a big cutting but an awkward shape that doesn't sit straight. I've buried 2-3 inches of stem and hope that isn't too much.

sounds OK.. I have not checked mine yet for roots. Not time to come in till November end (I hope)

Same plant as posted above when it was just a cutting from the Institute for Aloe Studies. For me, it's been a goldilocks plant that looks and needs to be treated like a fantasy aloe. Mine has been both sunburned and cold damaged, but now I'm more careful with it and this year it has several new growth points.

I acquired a small plant a couple of months ago. Looks like a little deltoideodonta so far but if it ends up looking like the first picture I shall be very pleased.

I don’t think so personally. It should look somewhat like deltoideodonta.

Nice flowers though.
