I have so many of them growing in ground and none of them has these exposed roots above the ground. The other day I took out one of my old plants from ground and observed large tuberous roots that had developed underground. Taking lead from pics given in this thread, I planted it in a pot with 3/4th of the roots exposed. The plant no doubt looks quite unique, however, I also understand that this is not a natural posture/shape of the plant. Does it require any extra care to maintain the plant in this shape, ie, with it's roots exposed?

Planted one more in the pot with its swollen roots (caudex) visible, after trimming the hairy roots. Those in ground do not have their roots visible. I am hoping that with time, the caudex of these plants will grow bigger / fatter !!
