Fouquieria Fam!
How everyone's doing in Febuary. The Boojum & Macdougalii extremely happy, the Diguetii getting happy. Everyone else angry sticks. Enjoy the pics. Happy Friday!

Re: Fouquieria Fam!
I've moved your post from the Gallery to the Talk section. Please edit your post and properly orient all of your snaps.

I deleted, rotated the photos both ways, and reuploaded. No matter how I rotate they still upload horizontal.

This is an iPhone thing, I've been told that if you crop each snap, just slightly, your phone assigns proper orientation. A little weird, I know, but pretty sure it works. Maybe try one before doing them all.

Much better, thanks! In the future, you can try leaning toward landscapes, rather than portraits. It is always portraits that seem to topple over.

Re: Fouquieria Fam!
Wow..... Fouquieria are fabulous plants that are so hard to find in my part of the world. I would love to grow all of them and I think they will do pretty well in my climate but they are just not available
Just a clarification!! Is Boojam an expression used for all Fouquierias or only for F. columnaris?
Thanks for these wonderful pics Beau

That's an outstanding F. ochoterenae! How old is it and what part of the country are you in that you can grow all of these in the ground so well?

Im in SoCal. Im not sure how old it is to be honest, I've only had it for less than a year. I got most of these from a nursery in Desert Hot Springs / Coachella Valley.

Were half way threw March and the Boojums have been growing so much. Had more growth in the last few weeks than the whole year prior (in leaf all year)
