This hybrid is termed Agave ShawIst by its creator Jeremy Spath, proprietor of Hidden Agave nursery in north San Diego County. It seems to like the full sun it gets in my front yard.

Not yet two years after the above picture (May 1, 2023), this little agave has grown rapidly. Note the upright habit and lean of the axis. It's leaning in a southeasterly direction. Doesn't seem to be etiolation, though; it's located in full sun.

Very cool - A. shawii is quite the lean-er so that's not totally surprising.
